The division between
the 30 acre Cottage Woods tract and the 112.6 Rock Stop Farm is near the
green lawn to the left.

Neighborhood
A classic
country store is nearby with
gas, fishing supplies, oysters in the winter, crab meat and fresh
local vegetables in the summer, and always a big smile and helping hand
throughout the year. It is known as "Betty's Inn". The U.S.
Post Office is attached to the store, next to the flag pole.
Rappahannock Academy is a small hamlet with its own zip code.
- Walk or bike the 3/4
mile or so to the Country Store and Post Office.

The
Rappahannock River is
nearby and accessible. And, for a small fee, you can launch a boat at Hick's Boat Landing, just down
Hicks Landing Road. Or, you can enjoy a walk to the river, through the
forest at your property, at Rock Stop Farm.
Fort AP Hill
is along Rt. 17 and is a major reason the Rt. 17 corridor in Caroline
County has retained its agrarian appeal. Occasionally, there will
be some noise from the base, but that is a small price for about 70,000+
acres that will not be developed. Below, is a hot link to their
web site.

Caroline
County government center is located at the classic little town of
Bowling Green. Below, is a hot link to the county web site, which
features information and contact numbers.

National Registers of historic places.
